This course is an introduction to sex addiction and partner betrayal. It is broken into 15 video segments which provide over 2 hours of information. We will explain what sex addiction is from a behavioral and a neurological perspective. We will also discuss the relationship of trauma and sex addiction as well as the effective treatment of sex addiction. The betrayed partner's experience will be explored. This will look at the trauma experienced as the partner of a sex addict as well as understanding the process of healing as a betrayed partner. Lastly, this course discuss the importance of therapeutic disclosure and what effective healing for the relationship looks like. See the curriculum below for a more detailed list of topics.

Jeanne Vattuone is a co-founder of Willow Tree Counseling. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist – Supervisor, and a Certified Clinical Partner Therapist – Supervisor. She has helped those affected by traumatic experiences for over twenty years. Jeanne embraces the trauma model for her work with partners as well as addicts. Jeanne is a consistent presenter at national conferences about sex addiction and the trauma model.
Tim Stein is a co-founder of Willow Tree Counseling. He is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist – Supervisor, and a Certified Clinical Partner Specialist. Tim is fluent in the treatment of trauma and incorporates trauma treatment into his therapeutic work. He also facilitates therapeutic retreats and workshops for addicts, their betrayed partners, and trauma survivors. Tim is a consistent presenter at national conferences on sex addiction, partner sensitivity, couples work in recovery, effective treatment, recovery experiences, and trauma.
